Zara Tanzania Adventures Launches “TwendeZetu Serengeti” to Boost Tourism
Moshi, Tanzania – Zara Tanzania Adventures has launched a new tourism promotion campaign, TwendeZetu Serengeti, aimed at encouraging more people to visit the iconic Serengeti National Park (SENAPA).
Speaking about the initiative, Ms. Zainab Ansell, Managing Director of Zara Tanzania Adventures, emphasized that the campaign is designed not only to promote domestic tourism but also to support President Samia Suluhu Hassan’s efforts to enhance the tourism sector.
“The President’s initiatives to boost tourism will attract more visitors to the country, ultimately increasing employment opportunities, especially for the youth,” said Ms. Ansell. She also urged tourism stakeholders to support the government’s efforts to strengthen the industry.
Building on the Success of TwendeZetu Kileleni
Ms. Ansell highlighted the success of TwendeZetu Kileleni, a campaign that has gained popularity among Tanzanians, including ambassadors representing the country abroad and international tourists. Every year, on December 9, climbers ascend Mount Kilimanjaro and reach Uhuru Peak to celebrate Tanzania’s Independence Day.
“TwendeZetu Serengeti aims to raise awareness about the breathtaking beauty of Serengeti National Park and increase the number of visitors,” she explained.
Promoting Domestic Tourism
Zara Tanzania Adventures Marketing Executive, Mr. Raphael Masaki, stated that the campaign is designed to stimulate domestic tourism and promote other attractions across Tanzania.
“By encouraging more Tanzanians to explore the Serengeti and other national parks, we can create a stronger tourism culture within the country while supporting conservation efforts,” he said.
With TwendeZetu Serengeti, Zara Tanzania Adventures hopes to inspire more people—both locals and international travelers—to experience one of Africa’s most famous wildlife destinations, home to the Great Migration, the Big Five, and breathtaking landscapes.
This initiative aligns with Tanzania’s broader vision of positioning itself as a top global tourist destination while ensuring sustainable tourism development.
