ZARA TANZANIA ADVENTURES LAUNCHES “TWENDE ZETU SERENGETI” TOURISM PROMOTION CAMPAIGN

Moshi, Tanzania ZARA TANZANIA ADVENTURES, a leading tourism company based in Moshi, Kilimanjaro, has launched the “TWENDE ZETU SERENGETI” campaign, an ambitious monthly tourism promotion aimed at mobilizing more Tanzanians to visit Serengeti National Park (SENAPA).

The campaign is designed to increase domestic tourism, raise awareness about Tanzania’s natural beauty, and support President Samia Suluhu Hassan’s vision to enhance the country’s tourism sector.

Supporting the President’s Vision for Tourism Growth

According to ZARA TANZANIA ADVENTURES, this initiative aligns with President Samia Suluhu Hassan’s ongoing efforts to boost tourism and create employment opportunities, especially for youth. The company believes that by encouraging more Tanzanians to explore their country’s attractions, the sector will see sustainable growth and economic benefits.

“The President’s commitment to improving Tanzania’s tourism sector will lead to increased tourist arrivals, boosting the national economy and job creation. TWENDE ZETU SERENGETI aims to contribute to this vision by making Serengeti more accessible to Tanzanians,” said Zainab Ansell, CEO of ZARA TANZANIA ADVENTURES.

A Follow-up to the Success of “TWENZETU KILELENI”

TWENDE ZETU SERENGETI is the second major campaign by ZARA TANZANIA ADVENTURES, following the annual “TWENZETU KILELENI” event, which takes place every December to commemorate Tanzania’s Independence Day. The event gathers Tanzanians, ambassadors, and international visitors for a Kilimanjaro climb, culminating at Uhuru Peak on December 9th each year.

Now in its third season, TWENDE ZETU SERENGETI has successfully increased awareness and participation in domestic tourism, leading to a rise in the number of visitors to Serengeti National Park.

Affordable Safari Packages to Boost Domestic Tourism

To further encourage local travelers, ZARA TANZANIA ADVENTURES has introduced affordable tour packages to Serengeti and other key destinations:

Serengeti National Park Tour (2 Days, Full Package)

                             Adults: TZS 850,000 per person

Children (aged 14 and below): TZS 450,000

Special Offer: Combined Safari (Tarangire, Manyara, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater)

                             Low-cost package available to Tanzanians

“We are committed to making Tanzania’s world-class wildlife experiences accessible to our own people. Our campaign ensures that local travelers can explore these breathtaking destinations at an affordable price,” said Rafael Masaki, ZARA TANZANIA ADVENTURES Marketing Department.

New “Valentine’s Day Package” to Celebrate Love Through Travel

In addition to TWENDE ZETU SERENGETI, ZARA TANZANIA ADVENTURES has introduced a new “Valentine’s Day Package”, offering couples, friends, and families a unique opportunity to celebrate love through travel. Every February, this package will enable visitors to explore Tanzania’s spectacular parks while fostering tourism-driven economic growth.

Growing Support for Domestic Tourism

Many Tanzanians who have participated in the campaign have expressed their enthusiasm.

Joseph Chitinka, a local tourist from Dodoma, emphasized the importance of Tanzanians appreciating and visiting their own natural resources to stimulate economic growth.

Judith Ngowello, a tourism stakeholder, praised the initiative for bringing Tanzanians together while introducing children to wildlife beyond television screens.

Moureen Robert, a young visitor, shared her excitement about witnessing animals such as elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and rhinos up close through the campaign.

Tourism Sector Growth and Economic Impact

The Serengeti National Park remains one of Tanzania’s most visited destinations. In the 2023/2024 fiscal year, a total of 1,451,176 tourists visited Tanzania’s national parks, with Serengeti leading in visitor numbers.

ZARA TANZANIA ADVENTURES believe that promoting domestic tourism will help reduce the country’s dependence on international visitors, ensuring the stability of the sector during global crises like COVID-19.
