As the gentle winds of September usher in a new season, so too does the Mount Kilimanjaro Porters Society (MKPS) reaffirm its commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship with the latest tree planting initiative, hosted at Kaloleni Primary School. It's that time of the year when we, as a community, come together to plant trees, not just for ourselves but for future generations.

But our tree planting event isn't just about adding more green to our surroundings; it's also an educational opportunity. Our members actively participate in the process, learning about the different tree species, their ecological importance, and the critical role they play in mitigating climate change.

Our biannual tree planting event, held this month, is more than just a tradition; it's a pledge to nurture the earth and protect our planet. With each sapling we carefully place into the welcoming soil at Kaloleni Primary School, we sow the seeds of change and cultivate a brighter, greener future.
