Wendy Boardman is a native of Holland who lost her right leg in 1999 when she was 35 years old, This woman has done wonders in this world because she has climbed Mount Kilimanjaro for the third time through the Marangu route to improve the world that “disability is not inability” as well as raising awareness on the needs and abilities of people with physical disabilities and funds for her country’s based charitable organization called foundation friends of the port Reitz school. Wendy Boardman, a 53-year-old Dutch woman whose right leg has been amputated following a medical error, is challenging herself to climb Kilimanjaro (5,885 m) on October 21. She will be accompanied by Yann Moulard, her Saint-Malo coach. In June 1999, when she twisted her ankle falling from a wall, Wendy Baardman was taken to hospital.
